My first 16x24 painting is finished. It's a potted plant sitting on the grass under a light on the side of a house at night, with a moth flying over it. I shall upload a scan of it as soon as possible. Before this one was completely finished, however, another painting popped into my imagination and I got right to work. It's another night scene, in a parking lot that's empty except for one lonely woman unlocking her car. I worked too quickly and messed it up; the perspective is wrong, and some places are lit too brightly. I'll have to make some big changes now. And it's raining outside, but I have to take some books back to the library.

I'm almost 18 and haven't even got my driver's permit yet. I was thinking of going to attend a horticulture school, but instead I think I'll stay home, get a job, and save up money. And my next painting is almost finished. It's 16x24, so I'll have to scan it in pieces and stitch it together in Paint.net. That's all the news today!

The art is slow coming because I keep getting entangled in my online classes (I am taking 5 classes right now) and still learning to manage my time correctly. I keep wasting time on things that are not benefiting me very much. If I had learned how to use time according to my priorities, I would have already finished the pieces I was planning to upload.

I am working on another oil painting which will be finished over the course of a few days rather than all at once due to my lack of time in the day left from all the school and slacking off that I do. I also plan to submit at least one portrait and sort of a "tronie" that isn't really a portrait but features a person's face. I think they shall all be on here this month, but I can't be sure with art.
